Writers' Lounge: G Dean Manuel

You found me.

My name is G Dean Manuel. I'm a multi-genre writer and the de facto brain behind this Wonderland-esque blog. So, if you find a mistake, you know who to yell at.

A little about me? What do you want to know? I live in Kansas. I've tried clicking my heels three times but it never takes me away. Like I said, I am mult-genre but my favorite (read the genre I always go back to) is Urban Fantasy/Contemporary Fantasy. I like long walks on the beach— wait I'm not writing my dating profile.

Like I said, I run this blog and the group associated with it, The Writers' Lounge. A good portion of my time is spent trying to think of new and exciting ways to write with my co-conspirators. (I used to say cohorts but apparently that has a negative connotation...who knew?) I have dedicated a good portion of my time helping others and nurturing their writing talents. It is something I enjoy doing and I feel a flush of pride when they publish a piece that I helped them improve in some way.

What else can I say? I'm a silly human being, just ask any of my friends. I love playing all sorts of games: board, table-top RPG, card, or video. My favorite RPG of all time is Shadowrun! It was wizard, chummer! My friend and I are currently hooked on Tales of the Arabian Nights and Heroes of the Multiverse. Can't play those enough. And I just got a really good deal on Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, so replaying those. I'm seriously considering getting Jade Empire on Steam.

I digress again. I do that sometimes.

What else can I tell you? My Weird West story, "Bounty: Greed", was recently published by Gathering Storm Magazine. I have been accepted to two anthologies, Unsheathed and Heart of a Child.
